The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) has officially released its announcement regarding the implementation and enforcement timeline for updated energy efficiency standards:
(Note: The residential refrigeration standard UAE.S 5010-3:2024 already went into full effect on February 1, 2025).
In addition to the stricter efficiency thresholds, MOIAT is updating its documentation requirements:
Internal Test Reports Discontinued: Internal factory test reports will no longer be accepted for compliance.
Mandatory Third-Party Testing: All performance and energy efficiency test reports must be issued by an independent, third-party accredited laboratory.
