Pakistan Gets Faster Wi-Fi with Approval of Wi-Fi 6E Technology

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially authorized the use of the Wi-Fi 6E band. This is a significant step forward in Pakistan's wireless connectivity landscape.
The Wi-Fi 6E band in Pakistan will operate within the 5.925 GHz to 6.425 GHz range. Additionally, specific output power limits have been set:
  • Indoor use: 23 dBm
  • Outdoor use: 14 dBm
With more space for data transmission, Wi-Fi 6E experiences less interference from other wireless devices compared to the crowded 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
The additional spectrum allows for more devices to connect simultaneously without compromising performance.
This move aligns with the government's vision of "Digital Pakistan," aiming to bridge the digital divide and empower businesses with faster, more reliable internet access. This will ultimately foster innovation and a more inclusive digital economy.
