The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially approved the use of Wi-Fi 7 technology. This landmark decision allows for the adoption of the new standard within the previously allocated 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz), using the same technical parameters as approved for Wi-Fi 6E.
With this move, Pakistan has become the first country in the Asia-Pacific region to authorize Wi-Fi 7, reinforcing its position as a digital leader. This is a significant development for the telecommunications sector and will be of particular interest to manufacturers and importers aiming for market access and certification for Wi-Fi 7-enabled devices in Pakistan.
The PTA's decision reflects the country's commitment to embracing cutting-edge wireless technology, paving the way for faster speeds and enhanced connectivity for consumers and businesses.
