Important Update: New National Conformity Marks and Performance Labels in the UAE

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has issued a significant update regarding national conformity marks and performance labels through Ministerial Resolution No. 137 of 2024, dated September 16, 2024.
The resolution adopts new national conformity marks and performance labels that will be used to certify product compliance in the United Arab Emirates.
To facilitate a smooth transition, the MoIAT has established the following timeline:
  • Existing Products: Products already in the local market will have a 12-month period to comply with the new requirements, i.e. until September 14, 2025.
  • New Products: All new products entering the UAE market will need to adhere to the updated standards within 6 months from the resolution's publication date i.e. until March 15, 2025.
The new logo for ECAS LVE (IT/Audio products) is the Compliant mark, as shown below:
For upcoming applications, you can still provide documents with the old logo affixed, unless otherwise indicated by Menacert.
All manufacturers, importers, and distributors must familiarize themselves with the new requirements and ensure that their products comply with the updated standards. Failure to comply may result in penalties and restrictions on product sales.
