Saudi Arabia Now Requires Approval for Wi-Fi 6E and WiGig Equipment
Please note, that the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia officially announced new WLAN Regulations. The updated rules came into force on February 10, 2022.

The aim of the Regulation is to ensure that the WLAN equipment does not cause any harmful interference to other services and devices and to enhance the general quality of wireless devices in the KSA. The WLAN equipment should conform to both technical conditions indicated in the WLAN regulations and the relevant technical specifications.
In the new Regulation, the CITC has also specified requirements for Wi-Fi 6E and WiGig technologies and adopted specification RI117, which contains information about these technologies.
Thus, the regulation and specifications officially enable the introduction and use of Wi-Fi 6E and WiGig technologies in Saudi Arabia over the entire 5925-7125 MHz and 57000-71000 MHz bans:

Therefore, before importing Wi-Fi 6E and WiGig equipment to the market of Saudi Arabia, please ensure that it meets the new national KSA requirements.
