Morocco Updates Type Approval Decision for Telecommunications Equipment

The Moroccan National Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications (ANRT) published a new type approval decision on January 20, 2025. This decision introduces modifications to labeling requirements and mandates the display of Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) values for certain devices.

The main changes

New Label
A revised label has been introduced, effective January 20, 2025. Certificates issued before this date may still bear the old label without any issue.
Key elements

The label must be affixed visibly, legibly, and indelibly on the equipment itself. If this is not feasible, it may be placed on accompanying documents, packaging, or displayed electronically.
  • SAR Value Display: For devices with an emission power exceeding 20 mW and intended for use within 20 cm of the user, SAR values must be clearly indicated. This information can be displayed on the equipment, accompanying documents, packaging, or through an electronic label.
